The official trailer of Salman Khan’s next production, Notebook, that marks the film debuts of Mohnish Bahl’s daughter Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, surfaced online on Friday. The 2-minute 51-seconds long trailer offers us a peek into the world of Firdaus (Pranutan) and Kabir (Iqbal).
This love story between strangers is set in the years 2007-08 when the Internet had not flourished much. Kabir, who has never had a chance to meet Firdaus, falls in love with her. He somehow lands the job of a teacher in the same school Firdaus once taught in. On learning about Firdaus’ marriage through her personal notebook, Kabir confesses his love to her. Firdaus shares the same sentiment. But will destiny make them meet?
While Pranutan and Zaheer are refreshing to eyes, it’s the backdrop of the picturesque Kashmir that creates absolute magic. The iconic Bumbro Bumbro from Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 2000 film Mission Kashmir – picturised on Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan – makes a return here and fits in quite well. However, what will tug at your heartstrings is the love ballad Nahi Lagda Ji. The song is bound to become a chartbuster upon its release.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Notebook is presented by Salman Khan Films and is a Cine1 Studios production. It is produced by Salma Khan, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde and is all set to hit the screens on March 29.
